Engage and inspire your team with brain-based learning

Explore current ‘cognitive neuroscience’ – the brain science behind all effective instructional design and human learning and learn how you as a Scrum Master, change manager, coach, facilitator, instructor, trainer, or teacher can facilitate efficient learning and team engagement using your knowledge about how the human brain really learns.

You can expect a highly interactive and fun 2-days training where you will explore six powerful learning principles based on the best from neuroscience. You will be able to apply these principles every time you train, facilitate, instruct, or coach others. Furthermore, the training will equip you with dozens of interactive instructional strategies, ideas, exercises and resources that you can implement straight away and help make your sessions memorable and outstanding.

You will receive a 55-page resource workbook that is only available by attending the course, as well as copies of Sharon Bowman’s best-selling books “Training from the BACK of the Room!” and “Using Brain Science to Make Training Stick”.

Who should attend

Scrum Masters, coaches, facilitators, instructors, trainers, teachers, speakers, and presenters. Anyone who needs to effectively engage with an audience.

The class will be limited to between 8 and 16 seats. In the case we have less than 8 attendees signed up, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the class.


The class is taught in English.

The trainer

Rune Hansen is an accredited certified Training from the Back of the Room (TBR) trainer and has extensive experience in using the principles from TBR in his work as an Agile coach. He is an active contributor to the TBR community, sharing his creative ways of applying TBR principles on a wide range of topics, i.e. team dynamics and budget making.

Agile for Teams

Agile for teams er et kursus der sikrer en god start for nyetablerede eller udfordrede teams. Hvor andre kurser har fokus på det teoretiske, ligger fokus her meget på samarbejde og fællesskab.

Kursets indhold

På kursets første dag skabes en fælles forståelse af det agile metodeapparat. Samtidigt skaber en række øvelser erfaring i hvordan de arbejder effektivt sammen som team.

På kursets andendag planlægges det første sprint.

Læringsmål:

  • Forstå de agile processer og hvilke udfordringer de løser
  • Skab fælles forståelse af teamets (agile) arbejdsform
  • Etabler fælles værdier i teamet
  • Kend dine team medlemmers styrker og svagheder
  • Anvend det du har lært til at nedbryde teamets backlog
  • Gennemfør planlægningen af det første sprint
  • Prioriter læringsaktiviteter for de første sprints
  • Find løsninger på svære udfordringer (f.eks. uplanlagte opgaver)

Forudsætninger for deltagelse i kurset

Den eneste forudsætning for at få fuldt udbytte af kurset er at man skal arbejde sammen med de andre deltagere. Det kan være en fordel at bruge en dag på at forberede en backlog til dag 2 (alternativt bruger vi en træningsbacklog).

Form

Kursets fokus er mere pragmatisk og erfaringsbaseret, end det er teoretisk – med masser af øvelser og dialog undervejs.

Kurset kan tilpasses til den kontekst som teamet skal leve i, f.eks. arbejdsformer der ikke er agile. Det er normalt en fordel at der på dag 2 arbejdes med teamets egen backlog (selvom denne kun er på overskriftsniveau).
